Christmas came a bit early in our household, thanks to Strider! A couple weeks ago, I received a message from the founder of Pittsburgh Moms Blog, Meghan, about trying out a product that was geared for my daughter’s age. When I found out it was a Strider Balance Bike, I was ecstatic! It was perfect timing because just a couple days prior, my daughter had finally figured out how to get on and off her rocking horse.

We received the 12 Sport Strider Bike in Pink, and also the Rocking Base. My husband was able to put the bike and base together in less than 10 minutes. My daughter is 17 months old, and she was able to easily get on the bike and rocking base, and immediately knew how to start rocking. The handle bars and seat can be adjusted quickly and easily without any tools. The bike is lightweight, and there’s no maintenance. Due to the design, the tires will never go flat!
This is a wonderful product that will be able to grow with my daughter for many years, which is one of the main reasons I really like this bike. I know that this product pays for itself because it teaches fundamental skills. Balancing and riding a bike is a skill set that should be learned at an early age, and the Strider bike helps accomplish that.
Once my daughter was rocking on her bike, she also figured out how to rock on her rocking horse, which I completely attribute to the Strider rocking base. She has really enjoyed this bike, and I can’t wait to see her start using the bike on its own as she gets older.
Strider also does more than just sell the balance bike. They hold different racing events around the world! There is an event coming up in Pittsburgh next May, and I’m hoping my daughter will be ready for it!
