My Favorite Mom Apps

In our everyday, busy lives, it’s hard to keep track of everything and just feel sane.  But these are some of my favorite mom apps – they help me feel more on top of my game, and make me feel like a better mom overall.

  1. Chore Monster (https://www.choremonster.com/) – My kids used to balk at chores every single day, it was starting to get old.  It would feel like pulling teeth to get them to do anything – pick up toys, make their bed, even just wash their hands.  This app helped add a quick and easy reward system to chore time, so now my kids are not only doing the chores they are supposed to.  They are putting clean dishes away or putting their clean laundry away, and just yesterday, my 6 year old asked me if he could Swiffer WetJet the kitchen!!
  2. Amazon Alexa (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/amazon-alexa/) – By now, I’m sure more of you have heard of or even own a voice activated device at home.  In our home, we have the Amazon Alexa, and while it does creep me out a little that she is always “listening”, I can’t rave enough about how helpful the “To Do” and “Shopping Lists” have been for my sanity.  Every time we are running low on something, I simply say “Alexa, add Cheerios to the shopping list”.  Then when it’s time to go to the store, I have every item I need to buy neatly on the app.  The best part is if I don’t find what I need at the store, I can easily order the item through Amazon, so every week, I feel accomplished in getting all the things my family needs, right when we need them.
  3. Glow (https://glowing.com/) – This is a GREAT app for women trying to conceive, new moms, or moms just trying to keep track of their health.  I just started using this app recently mainly because I wanted to track my cycle better and be more aware of my mental and physical health, but it’s amazing in giving you insight about your moods, your cycle and when the best time is to “snuggle” with your partner.  I feel more on top of my mental and physical well being because of this app, and I can’t recommend it more highly.

I’m sure you may have heard of some of these, or may have used these too – what are your favorite apps?  I’m always looking for apps to help me be a better person overall.
